Im a 21 yr old female. Why when i lift weights do i seem to get a headache. I am not forcing myself to hard..?

I get this a lot too. When you are working out you need to make sure you are hydrating yourself during your workout. If you are not, your blood vessels will constrict. Especially when you lift weights you are using pressure to lift the weights so you are pushing the blood to your head and causes the blood vessels to constrict or to shrink which in turn causes a headache. If you drink lots and lots of water you will decrease your headache. If this doesn't work try taking a baby aspirin before you go work out. I have had migraines since I was about 6 years old so I have done and dealt with it all. Please hydrate yourself when you workout. This is the process of what happens when you are working out.
