if so then what else can i eat besidw flour and wheat?

You heard wrong. You need to limit your intake of flour based items but you NEED to eat whole wheat products. You need carbs just not the bad carbs that white flour gives. Look at the amount of fiber in a product before you eat or buy. If it has more fiber than sugar it is good to eat.
