Insulin-dependent diabetes only causes a problem with activity if you do it vigorously!.

Careful use of regular, GENTLE activity can reduce the amount of 'control' you need to do using insulin!.

Achy muscles after a workout are a sign that you've pushed yourself too much!. This is equally true for gym users who don't need insulin injections, but it's more important for those who do!. You should adjust the PACE and EFFORT levels of your workout until you don't ache the next day!. Working as hard and long as you can WITHOUT provoking an ache will maximise the effect of your gymwork, and allow you to train again sooner!.

You should AVOID working any muscle that still feels a 'training ache'!. Aching muscles are more vulnerable to damage!. By working gently enough to avoid aching, you can get away with working out every day!.

STRETCHING can be done every day, including 'aching days'!. Gentle, long stretches will help to accelerate your 'recovery' process, and reduce the ache!. Ideally, you should stretch twice daily (before eating in the morning, and before you sleep), whether you're working out that day or resting!. This will help to prepare your muscles for your general daily activity, and relax them afterwards!.

Stretching an aching muscle can be uncomfortable, but if you do this GENTLY you can minimise the discomfort!. Breathe freely while doing this, and try to RELAX rather than 'pushing' the stretch!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
