How can I get rid of Cankles?!


Question: How can I get rid of Cankles!?
I am 5'2 and 103 lbs I'm very skinny but I still have cankles, Should i work my calfs more!? What should I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes, cankles are caused by extra fat stored where the calf muscles get thinner!. This will only wear off slowly, with a LOT of lower leg activity (like hillwalking or fellrunning)!.

If you're skinny, it's more likely that your calf muscle isn't 'developed' enough to bulge out much!. You can make it more prominent pretty quickly, by doing HEAVIER calf work (rather than doing lots of lighter calf exercises)!. Muscle changes much faster than stored fat does!. Increasing the resistance (bigger weights) when you work your calves will stimulate 'hypertrophy' ('bulking up'), and as the muscle gets bigger, it will make your ankle look smaller!.

Sometimes the problem isn't caused by fat storage or the shape of your muscles!. 'Water retention' is a circulatory problem, which happens when your body isn't very good at moving fluid out of your legs, so they get 'puffed up' with water!.

This problem is often ignored unless it gets really bad!. It can be related to low blood pressure, and to some other conditions, so you might want to consider mentioning the shape of your lower legs to your GP!.

Water retention can be caused by spending a lot of time on your feet, so if this is something you do, then you might benefit from regularly lying down with your feet raised!. Some people do this for 15-30 minutes as a relaxation technique when they get home in the evening, and sometimes it's done several times daily!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it doesn't look dumb depending on wear you live, maybe wear a couple of pairs of socks for a while!. That way, you'll loose alot of weight in your ankles or "cankles", hehe!.

Also, yeah, work out that area some more, and when you work out, wear socks too, because the exercising will be like triple as effective!.
Exercise you should try are!.!.!. leg raises, "6 inches" (which is when you lay out your back, but your hands underneath your lower back for balance, and lift your legs up six inches, while you're legs are straight for maybe!.!.!. 20 seconds at a time or however many seconds you want) and!.!.!.walking, running, the bicycle, (which is like 6 inches except you move you legs as if you're riding a bicycle!.)
