Cant do Many Pushups?!


Question: Cant do Many Pushups!?
Im 6'1 and weigh 185 lbs!. I can do bicep curls with 25lb dumbells but for some reason i can only do 10 pushups and then my arms just collapse!. Is there anything wron with me!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. Some areas of the body are just naturally stronger than others (This does vary among people)!. I would alternate your hand distance and try to do 10 pushups consistently per day until you can do them easily!. Then do 3 sets of 10 and keep adding as your strength increases!.

I do over 400 pushups daily (8- 50 rep sets) and between 40-50 pullups/ chinups daily!. Don't forget the 500+ situps and leg lifts!. This did not happen overnight!.!.!.!.It is slow going, but the results are worth it!.

Bicep curls involve the biceps on the front of the upper arms!. Pushups involve the triceps muscles, on the back of the upper arms!. The simple answer to your question is that your triceps are much less developed than your biceps muscles!.

Start doing "pushups" against a wall, standing up and leaning forward!. That reduces the weight you'll push against!. Do three sets of ten reps each!. Gradually lean farther and farther over so as to increase the weight!. When you get to the stage that you're leaning so far over you're in danger of falling, switch to the floor, but leave your knees on the floor!. Work on this for a few weeks, then switch to the full straight-leg pushups!. I think you'll see steady progress over a period of four to six weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are doing 25lb curls, you are not overly strong!. I'm not saying this in a bad way because we all had to start somewhere!. I did so with 20 pound weights and could only do six before I tired!.

Now, on to the real issue!. Pushups use the chest and triceps!. Curls use the biceps!.

If you can only do 10 it is because you do not have the muscle yet!. Keep doing them and your count will increase!. Bench press will also help you out!. If you eat right and exercise consistently, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to do one or two more each week!.

Give your body time to rest though!. Without that much, you can over-train and injure yourself and fall back to square one!.

Over time, your muscles will gain the strength and endurance to do a lot more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no keep practicing youll get better keep doing pushups every day untill you cant do them
well do them everyday but not as many lol like for example do 25 one day then 5 the next i guess i should make myself clearWww@Answer-Health@Com

There is nothing wrong with you, you just need to develop your triceps and chest more!. Doing a benchpress with low weight will help develop the muscles you need for push-ups!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

DONT do pushups every day
u just have a weak chest

No there is nothing wrong with you push ups just use different muscles than curls do!.!.!.It is natural!.!.!.Try doing some yoga or something that helps you to build the right muscles!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
