Are protein shakes necessary?!


Question:

Are protein shakes necessary?

are those shakes necessary if I eat stuff with protein after I workout... like cheese and meat. Is it bad to have too much protein? I know it's bad if i get too much calcium, but I've never heard anything about protein.


Answers:

Protein is very important if you're trying to build muscle. It doesn't matter where it comes from. Since it can be hard to get all the protein you need from eating, unless you eat constantly throughout the day. Unless you are trying to make some serious muscle gains, then you probably don't need the shakes. But they are nice right after a workout, since your body will be looking to rebuild itself.
