How unhealthy is a fruits/veggies free diet? (nutritional-minded people needed)?!

Question: How unhealthy is a fruits/veggies free diet!? (nutritional-minded people needed)!?
Ok, I'd appreciate intelligent, judgment-free answers to this!.!.!.

I basically eat NO fruits or vegetables at all!. I haven't since I was a little kid!. I developed the standard pickiness that 4 year olds get when it comes to those, and it never really went away!. Now I'll eat some grapes/bananas/clementines once in a while, and maybe the occasional Caesar Salad, but I've never had a full days' servings of any fruits/vegetables since I was a toddler!. I have a gag reflex problem for most vegetables as it is!.

I know this is pretty awful, and I have to break out of this lifestyle, so I was wondering exactly how unhealthy a person who consumes no fruits or vegetables is!. Be specific if you can!.!.!. the more I know about what this diet is doing to my body, the easier it'll be to change!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

very important vitamins and antioxidants are found naturally in fruits and veggies!. vitamin c, d, b, potassium for example are all found in these foods!. you can get vitamin deficiencies (such as magnesium deficienies or b12 deficiencies) which can affect your mood brain muscles in the body etc!. the vitamins produced for the pill form are not as strong and do not work as well as what is found in natural food!. antioxidants found in avocados and bluberries can help your body free from free radicals and prevent cancer as well!. even if you hate fruits and veggies try to eat at least fruit smoothies or natural shakes!. there are alot of options to eat betterWww@Answer-Health@Com

fruits and veggies have vitamins and minerals that humans need to be healthy!. I drink V8 Fusion to get more fruits and veggies in my diet!. I like to eat them, but don't always get as much as is recommended!. try different juices!. they are higher in sugar, unless you get low sugar versions, but better than nothing!Www@Answer-Health@Com

yup, very unhealthy!.!.you are not getting enuf vitamins, minerals, fibre and antioxidants to keep your skin & body youthful and strong!.!.you are most vulnerable 2 diseases such as cardiac issues and diabetes, may i add cancer and high blood pressure as well!?try to get used to it by taking small servings first!.!.increase gradually, slowly but steady!.!.!.you will get out of this mess soon!.!.god bless you!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am glad that you want to start eating fruits and veggies!. Stick with fresh at all cost because the taste hasn't been compromised like the canned or frozen ones!.
You can also try making fruit shakes and smoothies!

If you have access to a farmers market or you have summer all year round, take a walk through the market and go with the sense of smell first because foods can be very enticing, their colors are really vibrant and judge them that way and try them all until you find the ones that you absolutely love and then come back to the ones that you can tolerate and try them again for the first time!.
Hope this helps!

you really should get the wonderful benefits that these foods bring to our bodies so instead of forcing you to eat it how about trying

its powder mix that gives you probably more benefits from vegetables than you could eat in one day!. Try making shakes with frozen berries that come in a large bag from cosco and put a banana and some water with this greens first and and it makes such a delishious creamy shake that i can't imagine you hating!. be creative and im sure you will find a way to like these foods more gradually!. Dont be scared to try the greens drink!. It tastes delisious and sweet and if it does bother you just dilute it in juice!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its hard to tell exactly how unhealthy one is!. You're probably still getting protein, and some vitamins, but chances are, your body is still needing a lot more!. I have the exact same problem as you - hate 90% of veggies, and have the gag reflex too!. What motivated me to work on this was being overweight!. Once I started eating healthier though, I could feel the difference!. I geuss it's hard to start becase you don't know the difference but once you do, you'll just FEEL how it was bad for you, and hopefully that'll be your motivation!. I started thinking of crappy food as this nasty sludge blocking up my intenstines and depriving my body of the nutrients, and making me sluggish - I thought of it in the same way as my body being deprived of oxygen!. Try thinking of your body as a car that needs fuel!. If you put something besides gas (all the junky/bad for you food) into it, it won't go!. I know how you feel!. believe me, it's hard - but its possible!.!. I took things I wasn't crazy about and added things I liked, and vice versa!. For instance, if you're getting pizza - get whole wheat, and add onions, peppers, broccoli, olives - whatever you can stand!. Until you get more comfortable with knowing how to fit in things you like, it'll be about what you can stand, not what you enjoy!. But at least you don't have to hate the food!. I also find cooking vegetables (Though I've been told they loose some of thier nutrients this way - but whatever, we're not looking to be crazy marathon runner dieters, just healthier) takes the icky flavor out of them!. Then if you put them with rice and soy sauce, you can hardly taste them!. Try not to cover them in fattening stuff like ranch dressing or alfredo or anything though!. I'm a vegetarian which helps too - try veggie meat substitues like spicy black bean veggie burgers, fake chicken (it doesn't taste like chicken, but it's good) and stuff like that!. I reccomend Quorn brand!. Some veggie burgers have veggies in them, and if you add cheese, it just tastes good, not veggie-like!. You dont have to down cups of raw veggies all day - as long as you get some of them in some way, it helps!. You may not even get the full serving, but its still better than nothing!. As for fruit, try smoothies!. If you're at the supermarket, Odwalla makes really good ones, as does bolthouse farms (a little cheaper)!. You can make your own though if you have a blender!. Lastly, two things!. 1)try to stay away from high fructose corn syrup - i mean, it's in everything, and you're not going to be able to avoid it, but for instance, it'll be in juice sometimes!. And juice tastes the same with or without it, so get it without!. If it's cereal you're looking at, its in like 99% of them (unless you want to spend $10 on a box of organic granola), so just go for the healthiest one aside from the corn syrup, like raisin bran!. 2)Vitamin pills are REALLY essential too!. I can't stress that enough!.

Hope that helped! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
