How do I give up drinking soda?!


Question: How do I give up drinking soda!?
Its like I'm an addict!. I crave it when I go without it for a few hours!. :-/Www@Answer-Health@Com

Soda is very easy to get addicted to!. Your best option would be to start slow!.!.!.!.drink one less glass/can/bottle every day!. Replace it with something else!.!.!.!.like tea!. Tea has caffeine as well which will keep you from getting headaches!. Like the person above said, if you quit cold turkey you'll get headaches!. It's not the flavor or the fizz that you're addicted to---it's the caffeine!. If you replace it with something like tea, you're getting your caffeine but it's alot healthier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could do this in 2 ways!.!.!. either completely cut off your supply of drinking soda and drink water or flavored water or tea, etc instead!.
The other way is to do it in a gradual way!. Start by changing to at least one of those diet sodas (at least these are calorie free)!. And then instead of having like 3 sodas today, try to have 2 this week, etc!. And then slowly take away the number of sodas that you drink and replace it with one of the mentioned beverages above!.
Another way could be that lets say you tell your best friend that you want to give up drinking soda!.!.!. and so every time you drink soda, you will have to pay her a dollar (or whatever amount you chose) or you have do some kind of embarassing consequence that she will come up with if you drink soda, etc!. And then make sure she also has to give up something or change her habits in some way so that it is fair that you aren't just the only one who is doing all of the hard work of changing!. (and in the beginning, if you go with this route with the money, you may end up paying up a bit, but eventually you'll learn and it may help you to decrease your consumption)

1!.) You have to realize how bad it is for your health!.
2!.) Create a reward system where you drink a can of soda only if you exercised or have done something requiring energy!
3!.) Ask yourself why you crave it!.!. is it because you are board and its just something to do!? Or is it because you just like it!?
4!.) Try something different like flavored green teas!.
5!.) You can try researching which sodas are lowest in sugar and slowly start giving up soda while using those as a tool!.
6!.) Keep in mind that soda does dehydrate you quickly!.

-Pepsi? 100 cal!.
-Coca-Cola? 100 cal!.
-Sprite? 100 cal!.
-Coca-Cola C2? 45 cal!. BUT it has 30mg of sodium! that will dehydrate you fast!
