How can i achieve lean muscular legs, without them getting bigger?!

How can i achieve lean muscular legs, without them getting bigger?

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to achieve muscular legs without beafing them up alot. I go to the gym and run, but i'm afraid that if i lift alot of weights, my thighs will get bigger instead of smaller and more muscular.


Answers:

Running/ walking is the best exercise for losing weight and for toning you legs. It is really difficult for a females to bulk up since we have lean muscle mass. Unless you lift weights for like 3 hours a day five days a week, and even then it's very difficult for a girl to bulk up. I suggest just run and do squats, and lunges.
