Question: Have you ever gone from 300 pounds down to 120 pounds!?
I'm getting married in a year!. 55 weeks to be exact!. I weigh 300 pounds and would like to get down to 120 pounds!. I want to do it safely!. Has anybody else lost over 100 pounds!? If so how did you do it!? Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is possible!. You HAVE to exercise and eat right!. You can lose 3 or 4 pounds a week healthy wise, without starving yourself!. Eating right and exercising will teach you discipline to keep it off once you have lost it!. If you starve yourself, you will just hurt your body and it will retaliate against you!.

Start walking!. DO NOT pay attention to the people that might stare and or comment on your weight!. Been there, done that!. IGNORE them! You have to start somewhere!. Walk in a straight line away from your house so you are forced to walk back the same distance!. As you get physically fitter, you will be able to walk farther because you are toning up and building your muscles!. You need muscle to burn fat!. You will gain weight first because you need to build muscle first!. Muscle is heavier than fat!. Once your body has what it needs to burn fat, you will not believe how fast the weight will come off!. Because of your weight, you could lose 6 or 7 pounds in a week without hurting yourself just because your exerciseing!. Some weeks, you may not lose any weight, BUT you will lose inches!. Always go by your measurements, not your weight!.

I went from 251lbs, 50+ inch waist to 173lbs, 33 inch waist as of this morning!. That's 78 pounds!.

Walk first as often as you can!. You will speed up as you get used to it and lose weight!. Speed is not important right now!. You will lose more if you exercise at a slower speed for a long time than if you exercise fast and burn yourself out at a faster time!. As soon as possible, try to start working out on an elipticle machine!. They are wonderful!. You burn more calories on them than walking in the same amount of time!. I burn about 1050 calories in an hour on the elipticle compared to about 650 calories walking!. It's tough, but you get used to it!. Almost forgot!. I am lifting weights to build my muscles!. Remember, muscle burns fat!. You don't have to look like a body builder either!. I also took one day a week to enjoy some of the foods I was staying away from!. This way you won't start craving and gorging yourself!. Don't over eat if you do this also!.

^^^RoMarie you are incorrect!. To lose 100lbs in a year means you'd have to lose less than 2lbs per week!. Which is ABSOLUTLY possible!.

in my area there is a clinic that you go to and they give you b12 shots and appetite suppressants and a diet to follow and people have lost drastic amounts of weight but that's a double edged sword, if you mess up you gain it back at twice the rate that you lost it!. So would it be worth it!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went from 250 pounds down to 155 in about 9 months!. I went to OA!. It worked for me because the quanties you eat are big!. Of course it is fruit and veggies bit it can be done!. It sounds so weird, but it works!. you are not intaking any animal products, which are everything that makes us gain weight!. i am one and i am just the right size, and you don't have to worry about being hungry, you could eat so much and not gain anything!. my friends aunt also did this, she was 450 and went down to about 160 i think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i went from 250 to 140 in a year,it was pretty unhealthy though,i only ate like 300 calories a day and i exercised for like 5 hours a day playing full court basketball!.

I have neve gonne from 300 pounds to 120!. My highest weight had been 110 pounds!. I would try to excersise and diet all you can!. Eat smaller portions and hang out with your friends to uliminate thought of food if you have any!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to see a doctor or nutritionist before attempting to lose that amount of weight that fast!. It is physically possible, but they can help you do it safely!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
