What are some plain exercises as a teenager to lose pounds quick?!

Question:

What are some plain exercises as a teenager to lose pounds quick?

I'm 15 years old, my height is 5"3, and weigh 197 pounds. I'm trying to lose about 60 pounds so I can get to my actual weight to be, but I'm going to make it easy by losing about 10 pounds every 2 weeks or short in this month. Any advice I could know like how many jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups, jump roping, etc. that I should do to lose this weight.

Answers:

5 lbs every week is an aggressive goal. Your goal should be something more along the lines of 10 lbs per month (about 1-2 lbs per week). If you lose weight quickly is MUCH more likely you'll gain it back plus some.

As far as your exercise goes, you should try to do cardio (jumping jack and jump rope) at least 30 min at a time. If you do 10 min, 3 times a day, it's not the same thing. Try doing 5 min of either, then take about 60 seconds to recover, and do another 5 minutes. Repeat until you hit 30 minutes at least.

As far as your sit ups and push ups go, do as many as you possibly can at once, then divide that number by 2 and add 2 or 3 and do two sets. For example, if you can do 8 push-ups, try to do two sets of 5 with a 60 sec break in between.

Most importantly, change your diet. Try to cut out one junk food item every week and replace it with a fruit or a veggie. If you try to eat healthy all at once and you're not used to it, it'll just make you miserable.

Good luck!
