When I go to the gym what should I start with and end with to get a good workout!

When I go to the gym what should I start with and end with to get a good workout???

I'm trying to tone up and loose 20 pounds..my stomach is my trouble spot what should I start with..like the treadmill or weights etc..


Answers:

You always start and end with stretching, starting from your neck down to your ankles.

Since your trying to lose weight, do 30 minutes of cardio every time. The best excercises are swimming, stationary bike, cross-trainer, or treadmill. You could also play squash, or basketball if your into that.

You'll need to work out every part of your body, or you'll be mis-proportioned. So everyday alternate between upper and lower body.

Do low weight-high rep, since you want general toning.
High weight-low rep is for becoming huge.

CHEST (yes, even though your a girl you still need to work on chest)
-Bench press
-Dumbell Flys

ABS (this is what you needed help with most)
-Plank. Lie flat on your stomach. Now prop yourself up with your forearms, and raise your lower body by putting yourself on your toes. So basically your raised off the ground like aplank and holding yourself up by your forearms and toes. Since your a beginner do this for 1 minute, and do 2 sets. Add 2 seconds every time you workout.
-Get one of those giant rubber bouncy balls. Lie on your back and put that ball in between your feet. Put your hands up behind your head. Now raise your feet with ball, and hands into the air and transfer the ball into your hands. Put your feet and hands back down to the ground. When you are putting youyr feet back down DO NOT let them touch the ground. Now put hands and feet back up and put the ball between your feet again. And back down. Repeat.
-Crunches

Then there are lots more exercises for the other parts of body but im not gonna list them. Talk to the workout people at your gym.
