Out of shape; a rare jog just had some weird side-effects, and I'm wondering!

Question: Out of shape; a rare jog just had some weird side-effects, and I'm wondering what they mean!.!?
I rarely, if ever, exercise!. I'm doughy and out of shape!. I decided, out of nowhere, to get up early and go for a brisk jog in the cold of the morning!.
Two blocks in, even before I really got truly winded or tired, the very base of my lungs started burning and feeling phlegmy!. It was very uncomfortable!. As I went along, my spit got very thick and viscous and funny-tasting!. Not like blood, but vaguely metallic I guess!? Blood-ish!. I don't know, it's hard to describe!.
After another few minutes of jogging, panting and heart-racing, my tongue felt sore and swollen and even my lower gums felt oddly sore!.

A little background: I'm in my 20s, I'm 40 lbs overweight, I never drink or smoke, but I also never exercise!. It was 44 degrees outside, and I'm not athsmatic!.

I guess what I'm asking is, what's the reason behind all that!? I've exercised while out of shape in the past, and all I ever got was out of breath!. This is kind of concerning!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
First of all: good on you for getting up early and trying to get into shape!
Secondly: I don't think you should worry :)
When I first started running I had the same thing: scorching lungs, sore throat and mouth, thick slimes and a taste of copper in my mouth (especially when it's a chilly outside)!.
This is the most difficult part about starting to jog; the first weeks it can feel very uncomfortable!. Your body is not used to it yet and it has a few extra punds to carry around!.
Try not to strain yourself, build up gradually!. It will get better after a few times!.

Good luck!
don't give up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

before starting an exercise program see your doctor start slowly and work your way up cold can contribute to breathing difficultiesWww@Answer-Health@Com

dont fret brother, its just a shock for your body is all!.The thick flemy discharge is just the amount of rubbish your lungs have collected over the years, when you run your lungs open farther than normal enabeling you to rid of this rubbish!. As for the jaws and tongue, the only thing i can think of is the vibrations and jarring of the mouth and jaw that comes with pounding the ground too heavy when running, keep at it but if you do feel ill or pain when exercising regularly alwys consult your doctor, hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I would say that the burning lungs and phlegm are a result of being out of shape!. I think the thick saliva could indicate that you were not adequately hydrated when you started the run!. We are usually slightly dehydrated when wake up, so if you didn
