Question: Why do everyone say "LOOSE" instead of "LOSE"!?
Loose means "to make something unpleasant begin" and Lose means "to stop having a particular attitude, quality, ability etc, or to gradually have less of it"!.
I'm sure there isn't anyone who don't know it but why do they still say "loose" instead of "lose"!? Is it a kind of slang!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

She's not talking about spelling but pronouncing!. I'm not a native English speaker but even I know and distinguish the pronunciation of loose (long oo ending with s like in kiss) and lose (long oo ending with z like in size)!. I was not even aware of native speakers who cannot distinguish both words!. Weird!. Maybe for them saying loose instead of lose sounds "cool"!. yuck!. The other common mistake largely Americans make are saying "everybody don't do it" instead of "everybody doesn't" or saying "it don't" instead of "it doesn't"!. well, they basically just can't spell perfectly!.!.!.!. but looking at the words, think about how they SHOULD be pronounced if the english language didn't have so many darn exceptions!.
LOOSE-the "S" can often make a "Z" sound, as in "pros!." the double "O" makes the "oo" sound, so if you put the wo together they make the word sound like "lose!."
LOSE- when you look at this word, common sense tells oyu that if it is spelled this way, it must be pronounced "lohze!." why!? when an "E" is at the end of the word, we've always been taught that the vowel says its name!. but of course, the english language is NEVER that simple!.!.!.*sigh*Www@Answer-Health@Com

a lot of people say "loose" thinking they're saying "lose!." I personally think its because when you think of pronouncing "lose" you think of "oo", such as "choose", etc!. You are correct, though!. The correct way is lose!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
