What are some good healthy snacks to eat?!


Question: What are some good healthy snacks to eat!?
I have a snacking problem!. I do it ALL the time!. When I am sad, I eat, when I am bored, I eat!. I was wondering if you have any recipes or just foods that I should by that I could snack on that would make me full and still be healthy!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Keep fresh cut veggies handy!. I like snap peas (get them in huge bags at costco) or celery and carrot sticks!. Baby tomatoes, cucumber slices, peppers, etc!. Make a dip from FAT FREE sour cream and ranch dressing mix or onion soup mix!. You can't have all you want of it, but you can have quite a bit for only a few calories!. Check the carton's label!.

Reach for fruit rather than candy or sweets!. Stay away from chips, crackers, or anything made with flour!.!.!.the calories add up quickly!

If you like ice cream, try switching to slow churned (Dreyer's) or even better, Sherbet or sorbet!. Sherbet and sorbet have no fat! You can't have all you want of that either!. I have small custard cups (they hold 3/4 c!.) that I use for ice cream!. If you eat the size serving most Americans eat, you're probably eating 500 calories in a bowl of ice cream (at least!.!.!.check the label on Ben and Jerry's! One of those teeny tiny cartons can have 1200 calories!! YIKES)!. 1/2 c!. is the serving size!. And it is SMALL!. Eat small bites and savor!.

Drink green tea or herbal tea instead of snacking!. IT makes you feel full!.

Research actually shows that snacking in between meals, or even eating 4-5 smaller meals throughout the day, is better for you than the traditional two or three larger meal routine!. That is, of course, if you are eating nutritious snacks instead of the all-too-popular vending machine potato chips and soda, which many of us are drawn to!.
