Is the freshman 15 inevitable or not? What are your experiences?!

Question: Is the freshman 15 inevitable or not!? What are your experiences!?
So I'm off to college this August, and one thing I'm dreading is the "freshman 15" - in your opinion, is this an overblown myth or pretty true!? I'm 5'7" and right now I weigh 96 but I actually have to get up to 100, so I will be that weight when I go off to school!. I do NOT want to gain 15 pounds!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Myth, if you pay attention to what you are eating and DRINKING!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Any type of lifestyle change will probably include a diet/exercise change!. This is why the 15 is stereotypical!. But college is a huge lifestyle change, especially if you go live away from home for the first time, and your diet/exercise will likely change in some way without even trying!.

however when I started college I managed to change my diet and ended up LOSING weight, but then it came back when I got used to my new lifestyle (I'm about to graduate too!)

also in college your lifestyle will change every 3 or 6 months!.

Give yourself a reward for not gaining weight-- someone told me her mom was buying her a massage if she didn't gain a bunch of weight the first few months!. Think of something (non food) that would be a good reward for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My friend lived on campus and ending up losing a lot of weight since he didn't have his mother's home cooked meals!. But, after his grades dropped and he came back home, the weight slowly crept back up on him!.
I lost weight too when I was going!. But I was also getting really bad with my eating disorder and had to leave school because I was so focused on losing weight!.
It's just a myth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're too skinny!. 15 pounds would look good on you I'm sure, even then you'd only be like 111, which is still way underweight for someone 5'7"Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you're 5'7 and only 96 pounds, you probably need to gain fifteen !. thats really not healthyWww@Answer-Health@Com
