Female under weight help!?!


Question: Female under weight help!!?
Hi i am a 22 year old female, mixed race black and white, i am about 5 foot 7 and jus over 7 stone, about (100 pounds) i think i am under weight for my height by nearly 2 stone (28 pounds) when i checked my bmi anyway, i only eat chicken and fish and hav never had red meat cos i was bought up not eat it!.

I am really struggling to gain weight wen i am on my period i gain almost a stone in weight (14 pounds) over 4 days but i think thas just water retention i work as a sales assistant about 4 hours a day, 4 days a week and do belly dancin 3 times a week half hour at a time so not much over the top exercising!.

I am really struggling here and sometimes really gets me down,my boyfriend says for me to drink protein shake, the 1 tha he takes wen he goes gym, wil tha work for me!? I also heard about dunns river nurishment that contain nearly 500 hundred calories a can, i hav started to drink them after i do belly dancing will they help!?

Drink lots of full fat milk, use it with full-fat yogurt, bananas and honey in smoothies!. Eat spoonfuls of peanut butter or PB sandwiches, avocados, nuts of all kinds, pastas, rice, potatoes, use oil when cooking!.!. gaining weight is going to take dedication!. You have to force yourself to eat constantly and past fullness in order gain a curvier figure!. I myself am doing the weight gain thing now and I find myself having to eat all day in order to gain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I was trying to gain weight my dietician had me make shakes with high calorie powdered milk, water, and baby food of all things!. It tastes ok and has a lot of calories, without feeling heavy or filling you up too fast, and you can drink it on the go! Good luck, I know how hard it is to gain weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The protein shakes should help!. Eat more carbs and more chicken, drink milk, eat some trailmix or other healthy snacks between meals!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, i feel really sorry for you when so many people are stuggling to be thin you just want to get bigger!.
If you have a small frame then you will always be tiny, but you need to put on some weigh to bring your BMI up to about
17-18 at the least!.
try gradually introducing some red meat as this is full of weighty protien, also try bulking up on your carbs this normally does it, if not go and see a dietition who will help you find a solution!.

I'm no expert by any means but healthy weight is only maintained by a proper diet and excersize!. Because you are female and do not want to put on fatty tissue, your best bet is to try and build some muscle instead (muscle weighs more than fat)!. Drink 7-8 glasses of fresh water each day and make sure you get 3 good meals in!. A multivitamin might help also!. Other than that, try to sqeeze in some sort of "at home" fitness program for yourself!.

By the way, it doesn't sound like there's anything wrong with you, some people just have high metabolism and stay skinny for their height :)
