and how long do I need to keep it there for weight loss!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
There are two heart rates you need to be concerned with: the cardio zone and the fat-burning zone!.

First, let's talk about how you find your maximum heart rate!. Take the number 220 and subtract your age!. That's your maximum heart rate!.

The fat-burning zone is between 50% and 65% of your maximum heart rate!. The cardio zone is between 70% and 85% of your maximum heart rate!. Easiest way to figure that out is to use a calculator!.

If you want to lose weight, most of your exercise should be done in the fat-burning zone!. Cardio is good for building up your heart and lungs, and you will burn fat in the cardio zone, but be warned: If you do cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time you'll burn muscle instead of fat!. You can exercise pretty much as long as you'd like in the fat-burning zone!.

Studies show that brisk walks as short as 10 minutes in duration have a positive effect, so sneak brisk walks in whenever you can!. If you really want to lose weight, try to walk for 30-60 minutes!. Yes, it takes time and effort, but you're worth it, right!?

P!.S!.: All the exercise in the world won't help your weight loss efforts if your diet is not in order!. Best thing to do is common sense -- cut out fast food, junk food, soft drinks, sugar, trans fat, saturated fat, white flour, white potatoes, and white rice as much as possible, and instead go for fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grain breads/cereals/pasta, lean meats, eggs, nuts, and low-fat or non-fat dairy products!. Protein, calcium, fiber, and any fats except trans fat and saturated fat are your friends for weight loss!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
