Exercise beginner??

i probably sound really dumb for asking, but how many are a set, and how many sets are in a rep? im really confused on that. im not exactly the queen of exercise. :)


Answers:

A rep is 1 repetition. How many reps in a set is up to you. When someone says they did 3 sets of 10. It means they did 10 reps at 3 different times. 3 x 10, 4x8 or 5x6 are common sets x reps to be used.
Most people trying to bulk up will use a high weight for lower reps.
On the flip side, for losing weight and toning, a high rep with a lower weight is better.
