How Can An 11 Year Old Boy Lose Weight?

I am 160- 175 pounds..... and I want to lose weight really bad. I know you people will say, "Get that thought outta your head...." but this is important to me... I REALLY want to lose weight. Between 25-75 pounds will be good. please Help!?!?!?!?!


Answers:

Move more and watch what you eat.

You should eat lean protein at every meal:

3 oz chicken, fish, beef or pork with fat trimmed
3 oz is about the size of a deck of cards
OR
You can substitue 1 cup of beans, any kind except baked beans which are high in sugar.

Plus
Whole grain products like 1/2 cup brown rice, or 2 slices of whole wheat bread

Plus
Vegetables: 1 cup green beans, mixed veggies, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumber, carrots, spinich, tomatos, or any veggie but peas and potatoes. You may have a 1/2 cup peas or potato. If you have a baked potato, go easy on the butter, 1 thin slice only. Use a medium sweet potato or white, gold, or red. It makes no difference.

1 glass 2% milk.

Have the above for every meal.

Have a snack at least 2x a day.

Snack: Choose one: apple, pear, banana, orange, peach, nectarine, 2 kiwi, mango.

No fried food, no McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys or other fast food restraunt. Home made food only. No sodas unless they are sugar free, no french fries, cakes or pies.

You will need to exercise every day. When you exercise your body burns food faster. And it keeps on burning faster even after you stop, so exercise every day.

Ride a bike, walk, or swim for at least 30 minutes, and work up slowly to more time. Walk or ride fast enough that you can just barely carry on a conversation, in other words, walk at a brisk pace. Work up to an hour a day.

Other ways to get in exercise, take the long way around the store, use the stairs instead of the elevator, go to your schools track and walk around that, some parks have walking tracks, if you have a dog, walk the dog, or offer to walk a neighbors dog.
