Answers:
build up your endurance gradually by alternating between walking and jogging as you move along!.
try breathing through your nose and using a cadence to regulate your breathing as you jog!. the military boot camps and police academies use cadences to keep the run fun, to take the mind off discomforts and to regulate air intake!. "left, left!.lefty, right, left, your left, your left, your lefty, right left!.!." -keeps everyone in step too :)

You should absolutely see a doctor, because although this might be just from being out of shape, it can also be a symptom of something more serious, like heart disease!.
So get it checked out, and don't think you're too young for these problems!. My ex-wife's cousin died from a heart disorder in her sleep, and she was 21, weighed about 115 pounds, and looked like your basic cute, in-shape college girl!.

So see a doc, OK!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you may have asthma!. From personal experience you should go check with a doctor!. They will give you an inhalor you can use to help even if you dont have asthma they will give you one!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

after you run or jog, hold your hands behind your head!. this will help to open the passageways to your lungs and make breathing a little easier!. it doesn't matter how much you try, if you're as out of shape as you say your are, it's going to be rough until you can train your lungs to handle the extra exertion!.

My wife also suggests inhaling through the nose sharply for two steps then exhaling steadily through the mouth for two steps!. this will give you a rhythm for breathing which will definitely help train your lungs!. (she uses it for both short distance sprinting and endurance running)Www@Answer-Health@Com
