5'3" , 160 lbs?!


Question: 5'3" , 160 lbs!?
I am 5'3", 160 lbs, 20 years old, (woman)
My gyno, of all people, told me that i should weigh 110 pounds and that i need to lose about 50 lbs!.!.!.i know i have gained weight, and I am not happy with my body, i just know how to dress around it and accentuate my best features!.!.!.but i'm sick of doing that and want to be in a bathing suit this summer!.!.!.

I work nights, and sleep during the day, usually too long, but i have plenty of time to excercize during they day at home (walking, excersize tapes, etc!.!.)

I don't eat many vegetables, mostly green beans and corn are about the the extent of it, and i love chicken so i've been trying to just eat grilled chicken and those two vegetables!.!.!.

anyone have any tips to get me goin on a workout or diet!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I been there about working nights and sleeping during day!. So I know what is like with that schedule!.!.heh!.

Here's what you can do after you get up!.!.!.take up on the exercises tape!.!.!.make a schedule on that!.!.like 3 times a week and the rest of the time just take up long walks!. Bring your water bottle on walks!. Or use treadmill or bicycle for 25- 30 minutes a day!. That is a start and keep up with it! Then take a nice hot shower after you exercise!. =)

On eating!.!.!.you need to eat more veggies!. They have a serving size veggies for you called Green Giant "Just for one!" in the frozen section!. Its individual package size!. It be great with chicken or whatever you want to eat with your meat or use raw veggie to cook or canned!. If you want get more veggies out if it then drink Fruitoba (its in next to V-8 section) or V-8!.
Stay away from fried foods!. Grill foods are great!
When eating food!.!.!.!.size portions is important!. Don't go for 2nds and drink lots, lots of water!. *drink one glass of water before you eat*
Juice and milk (2 % or less) is good for you too!. Stay away from pop!. If you want something hot!.!.!.tea is very good to have!. They also have decaffeinate tea if you don't want caffeine!.
Snacks in between isn't bad to have!. Lots of goodies, like nuts, raisins, yogurt, fruits, popcorn and etc!.
As for dessert!.!.!.its ok to have!.!.!.just remember small portions!.

Do you want to loose the weight because you feel that people are right and that you should look that way, or do you want to loose it for you!? Losing weight is hard, because I had to do it for my health!. I actually liked the size I was because of the work I was doing, but I do agree once it's gone!. You feel betterWww@Answer-Health@Com

You really don't have to go all the way down to 110!. Anything from 110 - 130 is a healthy weight for someone your height!. Check out sparkpeople!.com!. You will get lots of info and tips on how to add variety to your diet and eat for weight loss!.!. they also have plenty of tips and tutorials on great exercises!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

woah 110 pounds!? maybe, but i think that's a bit low for your hieght and age!. maybe somewhere between 110 and 130!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
