Answers:
Diet soda, in a way, is worse than regular soda!.
Regular soda is made with sugar which contains carbohydrates (calories)!.
Diet soda is made with artificial sweeteners which do not contain calories!.
Artificial sweeteners, like sugar, trigger the taste buds to tell the body to release insulin in anticipation of sugar (this is the body's natural way of controlling blood glucose levels)!. Because artificial sweeteners do not have the same composition as sugar the artificial sweeteners go through the digestive tract and leave the insulin waiting to be useful!. After the insulin gets "tired" of waiting it will do something else!. Unfortunately that something else is usually store fat!.
In addition to this, artificial sweeteners are made from sugar alcohols which are extremely hard on the body and eventually ware down the digestive tract!.
Also, artificial sweeteners are many times sweeter than sugar!. Once your taste buds become accustomed to the sweetness you need to consume more sugar to get the same level of sweetness!. More sugar equals more calories!.
Treat soda of any kind, diet or regular, as a treat to be consumed infrequently!. And I'd recommend regular soda over diet any day of the week!.
On average a can of soda has 150 calories!. Drinking 3-5 a day meant an extra 450-750 calories a day!. It only takes 3500 calories to make a pound!. Drinking that much soda would explain why you moved up two sizes!.
To lose weight you have to consume (eat/drink) fewer calories than you use (daily activity)!. If you consume 500 calories fewer than you expend daily you will lose a pound a week!.
There are calculators on the internet to help you figure out how many calories your body uses daily!. These calculators take into consideration your age, height, weight, and activity level!. These can be found on health websites, try mayoclinic!.com under health tools!. There are also calorie counters out there to help you figure out how many calories you eat daily!. A good one is on sparkpeople!.com!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not a pro by any means, but I've heard that if you stop drinking soda (diet or regular) you will lose 17 pounds in a year's time- by just cutting out the soda!. I've also heard that the artificial sweetners in any drinks or food can mess with your metabolism (read this about two months ago in the newspaper- it was a new study) and make you FATTER!!!! I think ten pounds is a healthy goal and should be attainable within a couple of months!. It's always best to lose it slow!. Just eat healthy and try to move your body!. If you want an easy way to exercise- the magic number is to walk 50 minutes per day- to lose weight!. And walk at a pace that would emulate your walking briskly- like you're getting ready to miss a bus!. Walk slow for the first five minutes and then cool down with a slow five at the end!. But 50 minutes total!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some people say that soda in general can keep weight on, even the diet versions, my weightwatchers leader said that they make you bloated so even if you lose weight you might not look like you have around the tummy area!. As for weight loss itself, if coupled with plenty of exercise the average person can lose around two pounds a week, though this vaires massivly depending on how fast your metabolism is and how much weight you have to lose!. People generally lose more at the beginning of their diet with it tailing off later!. Personally I lost nine and a half pounds in my first week and averaged around two or three per week once it had settled down a bit!. Hope that help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

NO SODA, there is no nutritional value there, even in the diet its all sugar!. If you cut out all soda completely than you will see a big difference in your wieght!.

Green Tea and water are great, cut back on sugar and junk as this will impede your goals!.

Get outside rollerblade, walk, jog, play and have fun and yes you will lose the weight you want in the next couple of months!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Soda can be addictive! It will definitely help if you cut out not just soda, but all sweets!.!.!. as much as possible! I'd recommend allowing yourself some type of sweet maybe once a week or every two weeks in moderation, just to prevent cravings =) Other than that you should reach your goal of 10 lbs!. easily as it seems your weight fluxuates often!.!.!.!.!. hope it works out =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

just get rid of the soda all together- all of the fake sweeteners are terrible for you and the soda will cause bloating and swelling in the lining of your stomach over time anyway- but yes, getting rid of your soda habit will help with weight loss, especially with a healthy diet- and even better a little exerciseWww@Answer-Health@Com

it depends on your body!. I drank about 2-4 20oz Dr Peppers a day for about 6 years and almost never drank water!. Then I stopped cold turkey for a full year, and only drank one on special occasions, i!.e!. my birthday, and still didn't loose a single pound!.

It does work for some people though, so just try it and see!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

STOP DRINKING DIET SODA!! That can almost be worse than regular soda!. The artificial sweetner tricks your body and doesn't know how to process it!. I stopped drinking diet soda feb 29th and have lost 6 lbs since!. Drink iced tea instead (unsweetened), so much better for you!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've read somewhere that drinking Diet Soda also makes you gain weight!. Not directly, but by stimulating your appetite and making you eat more of other food!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're carrying lot of water weight most likely, but you'll probably lose around 1 pound a week by cutting out all of that sugar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Diet sodas have been proven to increase your appetite and also cause some forms of cancer!.

Try switching to Green Tea, instead!. If you are not fond of the lack of taste, then I would suggest a teaspoon of clover honey, which is natural and a bit better than sugar!.

Green tea also speeds up metabolism to help burn off those calories faster, with naturally occurring caffeine!. It is acceptable to consume up to 5 cups of green tea per day!. I would suggest, however, using the actual tea bags instead of the bottled, which is either artificially sweetened, for dieters!. Or they do have the one with honey, but it is processed and does not have the same affect!.

Also try the Spring Mix of the organic salad with lots of tomatoes, if you can eat them!. The tomatoes have naturally occurring antioxidants, that help to cleanse your system of old fats!. Using Olive Oil is also very good for this salad, along with fresh squeezed lemon!. The Olive Oil is the 'good cholesterol' which assists in fighting the bad cholesterol!. If you switch to organic instead of 'processed foods' the extra weight will come off much easier!. Stay away from McDonald's, Berger King and Taco Bell!. That stuff is loaded with preservatives; even the salad, to keep it fresh!.

Hope these few suggestions help and good luck!. Don't forget to get plenty of walking time in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
