Fat but athletic?!


Question: Fat but athletic!?
okay so everyone in my family is skinny/lazy!. Except for me, anyways i'm the only one in my entire family that is heavy beside my mom and grandmom!.

I go to the gym a lot mostly 3 times a week doing my daily lifting and Elliptical thing, anyways i notice alot of people say that if your fat that means your lazy and you eat alot and that always piss me off since i'm far from lazy seeing as i can keep up with people on track team!.

And i only eat mostly two times a day which is around 2pm since i wake up around 11am and i eat again around 9 to 11pm *go to the gym around 1am* I'm not a junk food eater and i always use to drink more then i eat though what i would drink was milk but i changed that to water now!. Anyways my question is, is it possible to be fit and athletic while still being fat!?

i'm 6'1 and i'm 300 even, was 320 but i dropped a few due to gym!. Proud member of snap fitness hehWww@Answer-Health@Com

yeah dude you sound like you have a lot of both fat and muscle!. it'll be good to eventually lose that fat!. i am 6'1 and now I weigh 210, I was 295 a little over a year ago!. i had to really cut out everything in my diet, i too slipped up occasionally but i didn't feel like i ate a lot either!. i just ate poorly, fortunately i was athletic too at that weight level so i dont think i was at any major health risk for only being at that weight for a few years, but it still feels great to have shed the weight off!.

i basically stopped eating white bread, cut out all candy, and cut out a lot of dairy (i still have to eat cheese, its a weakness) but no ice cream!. I started really enjoying eating apple slices, and the most important thing that helped was that I drank a lot of white tea and green tea!. I think that probably helped me more than anything else, my metabolism seemed to have gotten kick-started!. basically drank a liter each day!.!.!.I would make 7 liters every saturday and store it in my fridge!.

exercise helped too, but similarly i exercise like you anyways so i wouldnt do any more exercise than you are already accustomed too, it'd be too much stress to break your exercise routine and change your diet at the same time!. just stick to your current exercise routine!.

its been shown that abdominal fat leads to more heart risk problems later in life, so i recommend that you get your weight down!. let me know if i can provide any more information, i'd be happy to share more of my own experience!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it mostly depends on body frame!. im big i weigh 260 and lift 265 and squat about 400 nowWww@Answer-Health@Com

umm i dont know !.!. it doesnt sound like ur THAT atheltic and it also sounds like you have bad eating habits !.!.!. you should be eating more times throughout the day and not past 7:30 pm so actually you are doing alot of things wrong !.!.!.!.

but i do sympathetize with you because i workout so hard !.!.!. 7 days a week/ 2 hours a day type thing and i do eat healthy and sometimes i slip but im also not super skinny !.!.!. so i mean we both must have muslce but when i think about it i am doing some things wrong that may be the reason why i am not super skinny !.!.!. i eat past 7:30, and i do binge sometimes !.!.!. its easy to be in denial so really take a hard look at your habits and u'll find that you could be healthier !.!.!. however at least you are working out! good jobb and good luck !.!. as long as you feel comfortable in yourr body :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
