When should i take protein shakes?!


Question:

When should i take protein shakes?

I have a few questions on protein shakes
(1.) I was wondering when i should take my protien shake, before or after, and how many minutes or hours before or after?
(2.) CAn you still take the shake on days you dont workout, or will this have results with fat and flubber?
(3.)Can i take my shake when i wake up and then work out at the end of the day?
(4.) Is Body Fortress a good brand i bought it at Wal*Mart?
(5.) Can you gain weight with Protein shakes and Bars if you eat them with meal, instead of replacments?
Thanks, if you have ideas on how i can gain weight that would help


Answers:

you need to be careful with protein shakes and diet bars when trying to lose weight... most of them are VERY high in calories. instead i would try exersizing and instead of protein shakes cook some egg whites. (they are 6 grams of protein each, and have no carbs of fat)
