Will running allow me to lose pounds of fat, or gain muscle under fat?

It will allow you to loose the pounds. you may get more muscular in your thighs, butt, and legs because you are working those muscels, but you will also drop the fat there too. As for your stomach you will only drop pounds there. All the energy from the calories and carbs in the foods you eat go to your stomach and other areas of the body. The way you gain weight is when you eat fattening foods and then don't work off the energy it gives you. The energy is then stored, thus creating fat. The healthy way to loose weight is to eat healthier foods more often then not and only eat when you are truly hungry. The rest of the time you should spend getting active. More excersice less t.v.! good luck losing weight!
