Answers:

Well protein is used to rebuild muscle, not for energy, so take it after a work out.
You could still take it during days you don't work out, but you are better off eating a turkey sandwich or regular healthy food! But if you are trying to save time, then you could consume a serving if you desire, but its not gona help you burn fat, but it won't make you fat either.
Well like I said earlier protein is not a source of energy, so just take it after your work out.
I never seen body fortress, but I know they are affordable. But you should really check out the nutrition facts, and see if it meets your required needs. (calories, fat, sugar, protein, ect.)
If you are eating a meal, you absolutely do not need to eat those protein shakes and bars, it'll just add unnecessarry protein, which your body will just get rid off later. Just eat regular food, cause that is all you need.
Ok Im starting to notice that you want to get bigger, protein is used to rebuild muscle that you break down during a work out. If you want to get bigger start consuming more calories from healthy foods, calories are used up as energy during workouts, so you have consume them constantly. The average person needs to consume about 2,000 calories a day, but depending on how tall you are, age, weight, and the type of exercise you perform then you might need a little bit more than 2,000. Just calculate how many calories you are consuming a day and then see if you need to increase them.
