I am about to walk 4 miles to work with leg weights on each leg, it will take me about one hour, so it is not what you do as in power walking, but it is still good for me,Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes what you are doing is good for you!. This is particularly the case when you have not been active before!. There are many good ways that you can loose weight if that is what you want to do!. To be healthy it is advised that you up your activity level to what you feel your body is able to do!.

i was advised to do CV exercises (walking, cycling, cross trainer etc) for a minimum of 40min when I go to the gym!.!.!.also that the intensity is not necessarily important in the beginning but the length of time you do it is!.!.!.so in my case loosing weight needed me to focus on that 40 minutes of doing CV at level 1!.!.!.as time went on i upped my time in the gym and the level at which I do it!.

Government recommend that to be healthy you have to walk at least 10 000 steps a day!.!.!. you'll be surprised when you get a pedometer (if you don't have one already) how quickly you can walk that amount of steps!.!.!.not only on your hourly walks but also in between!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What is your goal!? For general health and fitness walking is great!. Dont expect to see muscle tone unless you combine some strength training and your diet is super clean!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes Walking, swimming and cycling are all good since they are non impact and raise your heart rate without being too extremeWww@Answer-Health@Com
