Depends what your target weight is!. If you are an very active woman multiply your target weight by 15 and that is how many calories you should consume!. If you are moderately active woman multiply target weight by 30 and if you are inactive, a repeat dieter or seriously overweight multiply by 10!. So if I wanted to weigh 125 and am very active I would need to consume at least 1875 to lose weight and stay at that goal!. The same process goes for moderately active and inactive woman!.
If I was moderately active 1735 calories should be consumed and if you are not active then you should consume 1250 calories!. Men it's a little different in that very active men multiply what they want their target weight to be and multiply by 20, Moderately active men multiply by 15 and inactive men multiply by 13 to get how many calories a person should consume!. Also, muscle burns more calories than fat so depending on your ratio you may have to take in a few more calories (but it is not much at all)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Having said that, 700 is as close to the line of death as you can get and still survive!. It is unhealthy to only have 700 calories (though you will live)!. 1200-2000 is probably more realistic, without compromising our immune system, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To maintain your ideal weight, you have to eat your weight X15!. So if you're happy at 120 pounds, you will MAINTAIN that weight by eating 120X15=1800 calories a day, assuming you're doing a normal amount of exercise!. (Walking for 30 minutes is a great amount of a great exercise!.) There are 3500 calories to a pound!.

Don't multiply your weight by 7!. If I did that, I'd be eating 800 calories a day!. That's not nearly enough!. If you're a woman, you should eat anywhere from 1400 to 2000 calories per day or more, depending on your weight and exercise level!.
