Is creatine bad for you?!


Question: Is creatine bad for you!?
im 17 and i work out at least 2 or 3 times a week, and have been thinking about taking creatine!. i know some people think that creatine will stunt my growth but im 6'1 so i dont think im going to get any taller!. is there any other adverse effects to taking creatine other than it stunting my growth!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Creatine is found in meat and your body needs it!. If you ate enough meat to get the amount of daily creatine needed to build muscle, you'd be in trouble!. It wont hurt you, but you need to be smart with it!. I only take it after a w/o & it needs to be cycled!.!.!.!.!.maybe 2 months on then 1 off!. Make sure you drink a lot of water tho!.!.!.!.it will dehydrate ya!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most persons tolerate creatine without side effects!. One should drink extra water while on creatine!. The initial weight that a person puts on after starting creatine is due to water retention, not muscle mass!. Persons with kidney problems and diabetics are not good candidates for taking creatine!. Creatine may cause abdominal cramping and flatulence, especially when taken with fruit juices high in fructose or sorbitol!.

Having said that, the beneficial effects of creatine are largely anecdotal!. I think it is a rip-off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no stunting of growth!. Just regulate your doses!. Too much can be hard on you kidneys!. I've included creatine in my training for years!. It works quite well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not in moderation, but high dosages over time will cause excess water retention!.
