You don't only want to lose weight, you want to keep it off, right!? Well, what you need to do is cut down your caloric intake about 500 from what is your bodies requirement to sustain its weight!. Mine is 2100, but since you are a young guy it might be more or less!. Start excersizing three to five times a week!. Walking is a really good and healthy way to lose weight!. As long as you walk atleast three miles per hour and walk for about an hour!. Its not a bad a idea to alternate in the diffuculty of your workout day to day either!. Hard one day and light the next!. Eat lots of veggies and fruits and whole grains!. Skim milk and non fat dairies, and leafy greens and green tea are good!. Come up with a menu that meets your reduced calorie plan and stick to it everyday!. EVERYDAY!. IF you change it up, only change up like what kind of sandwhich it was, and what fruit you ate that day!. If you give yourself a buffet of choices you will be tempted to eat more!. Trust me I made that mistake this last week, and haven't lost anymore weight because of it!. So, Im going to say have a meal of Quaker oats old fashioned oatmeal with light promise margine and very little sugar mixed in!. And one culp of skim milk!. snack I will have an orange or other fruit!. Lunch I will have a tuna fish or roast beef sandwich on whole grain bread with light mayo and light lowfat cheese!. With raw baby carrots on the side!. Then another piece of fruit for a snack or a non fat yogurt!. Then dinner I will have chicken breast or lean meat or fish with mixed veggies and a small side salad with lowfat dressing!. And I will drink Eight glasses of water a day!.
And I will not deviate from this, and that keeps me from wanting to munch all day!.

The calorie formula works like this!.
Say your body naturally burns 2000 calories to sustain life!.
You only consume 1500
That is 500 calories burned by cutting calories!.
You walk three miles a day!. About 300 calories burned from walking!.
Add 500+300=800 calories burned in One day!.
It takes 3500 calories to burn one pound!.
800 x 7 days = 5600
5600/3500=1!.64 pounds lost in a week!.
Don't lose more than 2!.5 pounds a week and don't eat less than 1200 cals, then you will be starving yourself and thats not healthy!. And don't keep sweets in the house either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Slow and steady wins the race in this case, Sweety!. Quick fad diets never work long term and usually if you use one you wind up gaining what you lost + a few bonus pounds!. Nobody can stick to an unrealistic severe diet too long!. If you really need to lose some weight I think first you should talk to either your parents or maybe a trusted gym coach at school before you begin!. I know you must think Im nuts saying this, but hear me out!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.you need to find out your BMI (body mass index) before you diet!. This number will let you know firstly if you even need to lose!. If you do you can use that number to figure out how much you need to lose and how many calories per day you should eat so you dont slow your metabolism down to a crawl while dieting by not eating enough!. Once you have all that info!. you can just cut out all the non healthy foods and sugary drinks you have been snacking on!.!.!.!.and switch to healthy foods and water to drink!. If you calculated your BMI and found out how many calories you should be eating and just made effort to eat that many calories in healthy foods you would lose weight effortlessly!. Walking is a good exercise if you havent been doing much and are out of shape!. I have a friend who lost 14 lbs just by walking 2 miles every day and not changing her eating at all! Remember too that it isnt safe to lose more than 2 or 3 lbs per week!. Anything more than that is usually water weight only which means your body is dehydrated!. Quick weight loss puts a strain on your internal organs!. You didnt gain weight in one month so why would you lose it that fast!? Dont hurt your body that way!. Dont obsess about the speed of the process!.!.!.!.!.!.!.as long as you are working to be healthier and making progress even if its slow then you are on your way!. A great book about eating healthy is : You Are What You Eat by Dr!. Gillian Mc Keith!.
