Question: Is it possible to lose a stone in 3 weeks!?
Just out of curiosity as my friend recons she lost 2 stone in 6 weeks on this stupid diet that cost her like

Yeh you could lose it in 2 weeks!.

No carbs, booze, fruit, sugar or dairy products, stick to protine and veg!.

Generally speaking, aim to loose 2+ pounds per week on a fairly strict diet of around 1,000 calories per day!.
2 stones in 6 weeks = 14 lbs*2/6 = 4!.7+ lbs per week
so your friend should be very careful about diets of this nature!.
It is entirely possible to loose weight faster, but human bodies are extremely complex and indeed clever, and they are liable to start using muscle tissue in times of "famine" to continue functioning, then when the "good times" return they will store as much away as possible ready for the next "famine"!. The dreaded but obvious yo yo effect that most compulsive "eater/dieters" experience
The use of muscle tissue includes heart tissue, thus the warnings about heart damage on extreme diets!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went on the Cambridge diet years ago and I lost loads quickly but I only had about 400 cals a day!. I don't know if you can lose a stone in three weeks, as weight loss is strange, where you lose weight at first, then for a few days it seems as if you're not losing any at all, then you start to lose it again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is possible but be aware the human body cannot loose more then 2 pounds of fat a week, this would mean half a stone in fat a month, anything extra is water and muscle loss, not fat loss!.

The only real way to do this is to not eat anything but drink water, you may die of a heart attack, have muscle wastage and get cramps, insomnia and nutritional deficiencies, along with finding that when you do eat something, they weight piles back on sooner then you can blink, but hey, you will have gotten yourself thinner!. Even if it is temporary!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes if you cut out all the fat and half the amount of what you eat and/or have a liquid diet then it is possible!. However it is far healthier to loose weight gradually, this way you'll keep it off longer as some quick weight lose diets can make you put more weight on after you finish the diet!.
