Question: I think I strained my thighs!?!.!.!.!.plz help!!?
so yesterday i went jogging for a really long way without stretching before and for a reallyyy long way and a couple hours after that my thighs were hurting like hell the morning after i took a hot shower and it didnt do anything just a while ago I put Bengay-pain reliever cream on it !.!.!.!.from a 1-10 its hurts like a 5 or 6 when i walk or use it but when im sitting down i dont feel anything
how long do u thing it will take to recover!? cuz i have to run a mile at school in like 6 days and i wanna get ready do u thing it can recover by that time!?

Oh, first of all don't worry!. You are fine and its something I experienced many times before especially when I start exercising after having not exercised in a long time!. Remember though, stretching is VERY important because it helps loosen up the muscles, thus, preventing possible injuries or cramps that can occur!. The pain is going to last up to 3 days or more!. If it hurts to the point where you can hardly walk than I suggest you relax and take a break until it gets better!. If you are still able to jog, and can stand the pain, than continue!. When I had pain I continued to exercise!. You need to stretch though!. The guy up there is correct!. The pain is a good sign because its telling you that your muscles have been worked and are becoming stronger/bigger!. Lactic acid is released causing pain!.

it doesn't sound like a strain, it sounds more like lactic acid and tearing down your muscles for regrowth!. You can typically tell when you have a strained or sprained muscle, it also takes a long time to recover and doing much with either tends to make it much worse!. If your muscles are sore, do light exercises to take out their stuffness!. You can also take epson salt baths!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
