Question:

Mantaining my weight?

I would like to keep my weight the way it is. Or to maybe loose just like 2 pounds. I like how I look. What I want is a good fitness plan. Some good excersices to do over the summer. Second, I would want some good healthy foods to eat during the day/night. I would like your personal opinion but some websites may do me some good. Thanks,

Well sounds like you don't have much hard work to do- as you aren't trying to lose a bunch of weight.

It sounds like your diet provides you the right amount of calories (as you aren't currently gaining weight). You might want to step back though and evaluate if your current food choices are healthy.

Beyond that, you have the luxury of starting up at an easy pace if you choose. I would say start walking several days a week and work your way up to 2-3 sessions of whatever cardiovascular exercise floats your boat (running, cycling, rowing, dance, etc.). Find something that is fun and enjoy it.

Also, start a resistance training regime 2-3 times a week. You only need a few multi-joint exercises (one or two sets each at 10-12 reps each) like squats, dead lifts, lunges, push-ups, etc. If you have dumbbells, great! If not (and you can't afford some) just make find something around the house to use- even if it is only gallon jugs of water. I have some weights I made out of sand and gallon water jugs. Be creative.

You are in a great place. So enjoy that luxury of not having a lot of weight to lose and ease into a good fitness program that you enjoy. That way you will stay committed and interested. Best of wishes!
