Can you make me a work out regimine and diet?!

Question:

Can you make me a work out regimine and diet?

Hello.

I am a 25 yrs old female.
I am currently weighing 195 lbs.
I am 5'6"

I would like to loose about 50 lbs.

Can you please let me know what kind of workout I should be doing?

And also, if you can tell me what foods I should be eating.

I would like for it to come off ASAP (of course) but if nothing else to get a jump start out of the 190s!

My husband and I want to start planning my next pregnancy and I want to be healthy (and look cute too!).

Oh, at home I have a treadmill and lights weights and a jump rope, and I can use my husband's bike, bc I dont have one!

Also, my problem areas, is pretty much all over,
but I have thick arms, things, and love handles.

Thanks SO much for the help!!

Here's what I did and it works. It's a combination of exercise and diet. You need to tailor your diet to fit your exercise regimen. Don't be afraid to eat carbs (Atkins failed to account for some of the biochemical necessities of the human body). That is the best source of fuel, as long as you get the exercise. So, here goes...

First, diet:
Don't drink soda. That is just a can of sugar that has no value to your body.
Skip desert. Same deal.
No junk food. Instead of a package of Doritos, how bout an apple or a banana?
Eat healthy meals - You can still eat stuff that tastes good, but no need to go back for seconds. Vegetables are so good for you, it's amazing. You need protein. You also need a little fat. Go for things that are low fat, but don't cut it out completely. And I repeat, eat your vegetables! Especially the green kind - broccoli, asparagus, cabbage - all great. Salads - fantastic, easy on the dressing.

None of this is going to work unless you include plenty of exercise. Strenuous aerobic exercise that really gets your heart pumping and makes you breathe heavily is best because that burns off your calories. It's important to find a strenuous physical activity that you enjoy. If you don't like it, you won't stick with it. Weight training is good in addition to aerobic exercise, but it won't knock the weight off by itself.

I prefer to get out of the house to exercise. I swim 1800 meters 4 or 5 times a week. It takes about an hour each time. Running is really good exercise. I'm not a fan of it, but many people love it. Bicycling is good if you push yourself and go for a long time. It's easy to go slow on a bike and not get quite the workout.

It comes down to this: spend at least an hour 4 or 5 times a week doing a strenuous aerobic exercise like running, swimming or bicycling fast. Start slow and work your way into it. Pick something you enjoy. Maybe even pick 2. I like to ski or hike on the weekends (depending on the season). But mainly, stick with it.

To make this work and keep working, you need to be dedicated to it. Once you reach your target weight, you still need to be dedicated to it. It may not be super fast (not like a meth addiction), but it will work and you'll only feel better as you go along. Being healthy is a lifestyle choice, and if it's what you want to do, you have to stick with the lifestyle. You're still at an age where your metabolism will do most of the work for you as long as you feed it right and keep it moving. Good luck to you and I hope that works out.
