Lol, what do you mean is walking useless!? It's a form of exercise and any exercise is definitely NOT useless!. If you are going out for a long walk, then yes, you should stretch BUT before stretching, you want to warm-up for 5 minutes!. A warm-up can be jogging in place!. After the warm-up, you should stretch!. The only reason I advised you not to walk and jog/run instead, is because jogging/running is what you will be doing in p!.e!. in about a week!. I wanted to make sure that you get your body used to jogging/running!. Jogging/running is just a faster version of walking, think of it that way!. Its great to go out for walks because like I said, any form of exercise is good for the body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

walking is not useless but it's also not optimum for exercise!. only the legs and cardiovascular system are benefiting!. so the upper body is getting no direct exercise!.

stretching should be performed after exercise when muscles, tendons and ligaments are warm and pliable!. stretching cold muscles can cause injury!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Walking is great especially if you are just starting to workout!. If you really kick up the pace and include hills it can be as good of a workout as running!. You never want to stretch cold muscles, just start your workout a little easy for the first 5 minutes or so to "warm-up"!. You can stretch afterwards if you'd like!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Walking is NOT useless!. You can walk for exercise and for pure enjoyment!.

You do not have to stretch before you go for a walk but it won't harm you if you do!.

Hope this helps!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
