Answers:
For gaining muscle mass, you need to pick weight that you can rep 8 -12 times!. If you make it to 15, you need to increase the weight!.

low reps (4-6)/heavy weight - builds strength (do not do this starting out, or you will damage some tendons)

med reps (8-12)/med weight - builds strength and mass

high reps (over 15)/low weight - for endurance athletes mainly!. You'll hear some people say that this is the toning range!. It's not!.

If you want to gain muscle mass, you have to lift weights (obvious), and overeat!. The overeating part is what throws most people!. If you only eat 2000 calories a day, you will have 2000 calories worth of muscle!. Your body will need grow muscle unless it knows you are going to feed them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
