Question: I'm tall and skinny, so if I do 100 push ups a night, will i lose muscle or gain muscle!?

You will gain muscle!. 100 pushups is a lot to do all at once!. If you work up to that and do them right, you can't help but get stronger!. But I think the question behind your question is will you gain weight!?

I've known a lot of skinny guys, and they've always felt they were lacking something because they were thin, and were constantly trying to put on weight!. To me, that seems silly!. Being thin and able to easily stay thin will be a tremendous asset as you get older!. You don't believe me now, but it's true, trust me!.

But regardless, to answer your question: you will gain muscle or at least get stronger, but you probably won't put on weight, or at least not much!. You may even lose some, which will make the pushups easier, and you'll have to do more to get the same benefit, which will make you lose more weight!.!.!.

Pushups (and pull ups and other exercises that don't involve machines or weights) all produce long, lean muscle mass!. Ever notice that boxers and martial artists tend to be thin!? Bruce Lee was the master of this type of exercise!.

If you want to put on mass, you are better off eating lots of protein and lifting weights!. Heavy weight lifting will put on more muscle mass than body exercises!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dood!. pushups are good!. But they only work so many muscle groups!.
If you really want to gain weight!. it all about squats and no assisted squats all free weight!. Seriously do squats twice a week, you will gain 10 pounds in a month!. Since you have prolly never done then before!. Start with like 25s on each side to get the form down, chest out, deep, and slow and every time you will be able to do more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i guess that's a good number, if you can handle it!. one of my REALLY skinny guy friends gains weight when he works out, so i'm guessing you'll gain muscle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you'll not gain any muscles if you don't eat anything, so eat something, wait a while then do the push ups then muscles will actually gather on ur arms!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You'll gain strength & endurance!. I wouldn't say you'll get huge - but you will definitely notice a difference!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Start slowly!. You might get burned out if you do 100 a night, JMO!
