Answers:
Many years ago (45-50) a woman thought of this as a method to keep her family alive when their car broke down going across a desert and came up with a method of filtering the urine so they wouldn't swallow toxins!. She, her husband, and two children were found, alive, two weeks later!. It's not the nutritional value that's important, it's the replenishing of fluid so the internal organs don't begin to leach fluid to other body parts under more stress!. The heart and brain demand most of the "attention" which is why, in dire circumstances, such as these, it's important to expend as little energy as possble and be out of the direct sun!. I keep a gallon of water in my car "just in case" along with a litter box, litter, bath towel, lawn & leaf black bags, white plastic bags, paper towels, baby-wipes and 3 cooler chests!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not that urine has any "nutritional value", it's that it is mostly water and can prevent you from dying of dehydration!. However, I would imagine that it would only work for a few days without any other fluid!. It's not like every ounce of fluid we drink is expelled in urine!. In fact, we actually lose quite a bit through sweat and breathing!. Eventually, there would not be enough fluid to meet the body's needs!.

And I'm fairly sure there would be a problem with increasing concentrations of salts and other waste in urine that might eventually cause kidney problems!.

I believe they say you can live 3-5 days without water!. I'm guessing that drinking your urine might add 2-3 days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
