Can't seem to do push-ups?!


Question: Can't seem to do push-ups!?
I really can't seem to do more than about 5 pushups!. Sad, I know!. Am I doing something wrong!? Or should I begin with a girl pushup!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Believe it or not, starting with "girl" push ups is a good thing!. You have to start slow and get you body accustomed to the motion!. Start with 3 sets of 5 reps!. If this is too easy, up you reps by one until the last few of the last set are tough to complete!. Do this 3 times a week!. Skip a day in between!. Once you get to 3 sets of 10 or 12 reps you should be able to do normal push ups!. Then use the same procedure to work your way up in reps per set!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to have the same problems as you!. I don't know whether this works but after strengthening the middle section of my deltoid (also known as the shoulder muscle), I started improving!.

Do your push-ups in sets and make sure you have enough protein (but not too much)!. This is very very essential!. I used to train with a lack of protein and I did not get any stronger!.

Don't train every single day so your muscles can have a rest!. Also, after your muscles stop aching, wait one more day!. Never train with aching muscles!. It's only counter-productive and it can lead to muscle problems!.

I think I can manage 70 push-ups now and that's quite good considering I was only doing 20 at the end of 2006!.

I can't do much pushups at all!.!. but, I have worked out my arms in different ways!.!. my problem is that my shoulders are double jointed and it's *doubly* difficult to keep the joints from shifting as I do the pushup!. It can be quite painful in my shoulder to make attempts at doing pushups for that reason!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should lie on the floor, hands shoulder width apart on the floor, keep your back and legs straight and push up, if you can't do more than 5 today, do 10 tomorrow and keep building up your number!.
Why can't you do them!?
Then do some sit ups and some squats!.

Keep trying!. If you're only at 5, push yourself to do 6 or 7, until you're there consistently!. The muscles you use to do pushups with should strengthen themselves in time!.

That said, I'm pretty built, but I have trouble doing more than about 30-35 at a time!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe you should begin with some strength exercises to make your arms tougher!. But keep at the push-ups!. Try to increase the number you do by one or two each week!. And set goals for yourself!. That's always good motivation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!.start out with the girl ones!.and you will get better!.And some time use a bar that is raised off the floor and use that to grip!.It makes them more easy but more effective!.Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you set a goal to do just one more push up than the last time, you should get stronger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to a trainer he or she will help you, and try to get into better shape i could do 107!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
