Question: Outdoor exercise ideas!?!?
hey, im 19, am 5'1" and i weigh 8!.6 stones!. i want to lose a little weight and get toned and generally fitter!. i HATE exercises like sit ups and stuff, i get bored!. i want outdoor activity ideas!. i am swiming, cycling, walking, running and horse riding through the week, will this tone my hole body!? im also eating 3 healthy meals a day, with the odd snack!. any comments would be great, thanx!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Those outdoor activies sound really good!. Swimming is definetly an all over workout though sometimes it tones your arms more, but then the biking tones your legs more so it evens out!. You could also try hiking if you have somewhere you can do that, or get some friends together on the weekends to play different sports like football, basketball, or soccer!.!.!. all of these will tone you too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try websearching 'PARKOUR', together with the town or city you live in!. This will find you a 'freerunning' group!. Freerunning is a very physical outdoor activity, but it feels more like hanging out with active friends, rather than 'exercising'!.

The things you've listed are very active pastimes, and you might risk overworking your body if you try to fit any more into your week!. Nine stone isn't all that heavy, and a lot of your weight will be made up of muscles that you've built up by doing all those activities!.

If your SHAPE is bugging you, then you can change this easily (but gradually)!. Activities which 'wiggle' your hips around will activate the waist-muscles that compress your abdominal organs!. Strengthening these muscles will 'pinch in' your waist and reduce a belly as well, if you have one!.

Salsa dancing, walking like Mae West, and Capoeira all use a lot of hip mobility, and will streamline your figure because of this!. Keeping your waist muscles tight will also help your back, breathing and digestion to stay healthy!.

Situps and crunches can't do this, because they concentrate the effort mainly on a small, superficial layer of muscle at the front of your body!.

Try to avoid getting hooked on the search for 'quick fixes' to improve your body!. You are already fairly fit and very active, and your figure will improve if you keep this habit going!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
