Sugar or Splenda, what is smaller of two evils for children?

I'm having a hard time keeping my kid hydrated. He doesn't like gatorade or water. I thought about kool-aid but sugar seems wrong.

if it's hydration you're worried about, splenda is probably a better bet, since it's composed of mostly starch filler rather than sugar compounds (but then the safety of the fillers maybe questionable, depending on who's research you read.)

You should probably try different natural fruit juices which do contain sugar but are also nutritious. There should be lots of different flavors to try, if you have the patience to find one that agrees with him
