Why should you not work out everything every time you go to the gym?!

Why should you not work out everything every time you go to the gym?

Most people work out chest and triceps one day, back and biceps another and abs and lower body another or something like that. Is it bad if I just work out everything every time I go to the gym?


Answers:

It all depends on how many times a week you lift. If you lift 6 days a week then yes you shouldn't work out your whole body every time. The reason is because your muscles need time to heal (when you lift you are actually tearing your muscles). If you work out 3 days a week then it would be ok to do a full body work out everytime because you will have that day off in between work outs.
