Question: How to curb the urge to binge!?
hello, my weight has been increasing all through my life, and i *really* want to get into a healthy eating regime that will keep my weight off forever!. i'm not after a diet, i was just wondering if anyone had any tips for someone who has a *really* hard time drinking just one glass of wine, or having just one piece of chocolate! my diet is good at the moment, but the binges are compulsive and are happening more and more frequently!. the foods i binge on are crisps, alcohol and chocolate, but also sometimes i will overdose on sandwiches and tea!. i think i have a genuine problem with food, but want to try to sort it myself before i jump to conclusions!.

Though she can't really resolve her problem, I can (TRY) and help you!.
Instead of overeating something like chocolate,pastry's etc!. try having lots of healthy foods!.
-one cup of radishes, sliced or chopped, is 19 calories
-one cup of cherry tomatoes, halved, is 27 calories
-celery is pretty much an eat-all-you-want kind of snack food
-one cup of mushrooms is 15 calories
-one packet of Swiss Miss Sugar Free Hot Chocolate is 25 calories
-one cup of chicken bouillon is about 5 calories
-one cup of chopped broccoli is 30 calories
-one package, Chicken Noodle Cup a Soup !.!.!. 45 calories
-one cup, strawberry halves !.!.!.!. 49 calories
-one peeled cucumber !.!.!. 24 calories
-7 almonds !.!.!. 49 calories
-1 tablespoon Better'n Peanut Butter !.!.!. 50 calories
-15 grapes = 30 calories
-one slice, Kraft fat free singles !.!.!. 30 calories
-one slice, Oscar Mayer fat free bologna !.!.!. 22 calories

You can try preparing something low in calories in fat, and have a lot of it!.
Get used to eating healthy!.!.Mainly dairy products (low fat yogurt,1% skimmed milk), fruits (strawberries,papaya,grapes,apples,grape!.!.!. etc,vegatables!.!.(celery,green beans,carrots,cucumbers,lettuce leaves,tomatoes etc!.

Instead of having chocolate,have a mocha chocolate cappaciuno (small) !.!.
Try having diced cucumbers and carrots,dipped in blue cheese dip!.mhhhhm!
You can have a lot of celery, and gain almost nothing!

Good luck, and another alternative, is fruity milkshakes :)
Frozen Yogurt, instead of Ice Cream!.
