Question: Why can't I exercise and loseweight!?
I'm a 23 year old male and I've been athletic all my life, I've boxed, played football and been in the marines!. I have always exercised to the best of my ability to keep fit but now I cant! I have been around 190 lbs most of my life always healthy and looked well, I even had a 6 pack! but these last 2 years I have ballooned upto 235 lbs, I have never been this big and its really uncomfortable, I have

I know how that feels and it comes with the territory of having a job, living with someone, being tired!. I was super fit too, then when I moved in with my boyfriend (later husband) we ate too much and exercised too little!. We both worked and it was easier to grab take out than to shop and then cook something!.

Basically you have to stop and figure out a way to fit healthy living into your current lifestyle!. Fresh meat, fruits and vegetables shouldn't cost more than processed foods!. A carrot stick is cheaper than a health bar!. Don't have junk in the house - just don't buy it!. Don't drink anything other than water!. Find out how to fit some exercise into your day!. Maybe you could get up 20 minutes earlier and go for a short jog, then when you get home do some push ups and crunches in front of the TV!. You don't have to go to the gym if you don't like it!. You could cycle, walk, swim - whatever you enjoy!. But be consistent and do it 3-5 times a week!. Do some resistance stuff a few times a week (push ups, hand weights etc)!. As I said, you can do this in front of the TV!

And it's essential your girlfriend gets on board too!. You need to do it together!. She'll find she'll start adding the pounds too if she keeps up the unhealthy living!.

I know it's really hard, but it is worth it!. Exercise will, after a little while, increase your energy levels and you won't feel tired all the time!. You've been fit before, you know how good it feels!. So do it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

There's not much anyone here can say to you, the motivation has to come from yourself!.
I get home late too, I exercise first thing when I get home, then shower and eat supper!. If you're using getting home late as an excuse, you should be exercising in the morning!.
When you buy vegetables and fruit, wash them and have them ready to grab for snacks as soon as you get them home!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You just need the motivation to work out!. Eating healthy will partially help you lose weight but you have to work out too!. Once you're ready to go back into the gym, go once or twice a week!. Start doing light cardio and light weight lifting!. You should then up your cardio and weight training!. It's ok if you eat badly!. Just don't eat badly everyday!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

u don't have to spend a fortune on buying the so-called healthy foods!. fruits and veggies are healthy, they're don't cost much more than burgers and ribs!
have them for dinner instead of heavy meals!. u can also have some soup, it makes u feel full and eat less!.!.
I know how tiring exercising can be so try to find something u enjoy!. I hate hitting the gym to exercise on machines but I like roller blading and playing basketball!.!.find something like that for ur interest :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suggest that you take time to find a good guide on weight loss and dieting!. I can recommend one to you and I will post a link to my blog where I talk about issues like these at the bottom!.

Think of it like this!.!.!. if you follow the instructions on the blog weight loss and dieting should only take one attempt!. Why go through frustrating struggles and risk injury when you can do it the right way!.

As you get older your metabolism slows down conversely!. Even if your diet is "normal"!. As you get older, and your life changes your diet has to change!. Simple things like getting married, having kids, changing jobs, will all add a few pounds, resistance is futile!. Look long and hard at you diet and revise it accordingly!. Cut down on the lite beer, and soda and learn to love splenda and whole grain!. It is not the amount of exercise, real weight loss or gain is at the dinner table!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You answered your own question!.!.!.you are now living with someone, no longer eat healthy, and do not devote yourself to exercise anymore!.

I would say that you should set small goals!.!.!.rather than thinking about losing all extra 30 pounds at once!.!.!.just say 5 for now!. Once you have that five!.!.!.then the next 5, and so on!. This way you can see how small but significant changes in your life style can have a positive effect in meeting your goals (because 5 pounds is just making sure you workout 3 times a week and giving up just one really bad food!.!.!.like French fries!. Do both for 5 weeks and you are there)!.

You should also engage your girlfriend in the battle!.!.!.have her join you for workout, have her NOT conspire against you with purchases of bad food from the grocery or begging you to go out for fatty fast food!.

The key is diet diet and exercise!.

You need to eat 5-6 small meals a day!. Eat some protein with each meal! Cut out all refined sugar!!! Also add more fiber!. The fiber and protein will fill you up, helping you to cut down on your unhealthy eating!. Also by eating more than 3 meals spread out through the day you will kick your metabolism in high gear!. Here is a general meal for a day:

Breakfast: 2 poached eggs
whole wheat toast
1/2 cup fruit

Snack: Cottage Cheese with veggie

Lunch: Turkey, lettuce, tomato, whole wheat bread sandwich
1/2 cup fruit

Snack: Protein Shake

Dinner: Turkey Burger ( no bun )
Side of brown rice
Side of Broc!.




Then exercise regularly 4-5 days a week!. Do both cardio and lifting!. But on days that you do both!. Do lifting before your cardio and you will maximize your fat burn!. Cardio can be a sport: basketball, soccer, football, anything with losts of movement!. Golf is a no no!.

So Example :

Monday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Tuesday - 1 hour lifting
Wednesday - Rest
Thrusday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Friday - 1 hour lifting
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
