How can I lose a lot of weight caused by pregnancy?!

Question:

How can I lose a lot of weight caused by pregnancy?

Alright, here is my issue~ I weighed approx. 150-155 about 2 years ago. I gained a little weight, and then I got pregnant, and gained about 60-65lbs. on top of that. That puts me at around 230 right now. I have never been overweight, and have always been active. I had to have a c-section with my son, so I was not able to be very active(or barely move), for about 2-3 months after he was born. Well I'm starting to feel the effects of the weight gain. I can't tell when I'm full. I barely feel hungry. My son is 10 months old, and I eat maybe 1x a day. I haven't breastfed since my son was 3 1/2 months old. I need to lose at least 50lbs.
Since the weight gain, i've had a lot of insecurity issues. I don't really go out much because i am too upset about how I look. I can't do certain work outs. I have shoulder problems which restrain me from doing a lot of arm workouts. I do sit ups, but they don't seem to be working anymore! I walk a lot now, but thats not doing anything either. HELP!

I, honestly, don't want more muscle. I've always been muscle... not overly done, but not perfectly toned. I want to slim all over.
I AM working on eating small meals, but its hard w/my son! Its hard to explain, but it just is...

Its VERY hard for me to eat lately. The 1 meal that I did eat today, I ate 1/2 of it, and was full. I just don't feel hungry anymore. And on top of that, I'm a horrible shopper, and I cannot seem to get a shopping list together that will keep me on a straight diet.

Ok, I think should add just incase~ i drink A LOT of the lipton cold serve iced tea w/Sweet N Low. But I doubt that would have anything to do w/it.

Answers:

Well, breastfeeding for 12 months took 60 lbs off of my body even with eating a lot! It may be too late to re-start that now though.

I would suggest starting out with water aerobics at the local YMCA. Most of the people have arthritis, and even if you have joint pain you can do this. Follow it up with a walk every day.

You should check your thyroid to make sure your hormones aren't causing the weight problem. Check with your doctor for the blood tests!!!

Finally, eat several small meals a day
Bfast: egg beater omelet
snack: light sugar and fat free yogurt
lunch: salad with tuna or chicken on it, fat free dressing
fruit, skim milk
snack: adkins bar, celery
dinner: lean meat 4 oz, salad, fruit, skim milk, sugar free jello

Make sure you eat at least 1000 calories per day, but no more than 1500.
