Question: Need to lose 20 pounds in 2!.5 weeks!.!.!.!. HELP!?
Ok first and foremost!.!.!.!. If you are going to say "it's unhealthy, don't do it, r u anorexic" please don't answer!. I graduate May 29th from college and I am going to the Hamptons for memorial weekend AND I need to lose my BELLY!. I started spinning today and I plan on having 300-400 calories a day!.!.!. MAX! So I was wondering what types of food, how much water and what other excersice so that I can reach my goal!. BTW: I'm not anorexic, I'm 5'0 feet tall and weight 120, to be at my normal weight I should weight 95-100 so it's not like I'm trying to be SUPER skinny! Thanks an Ton!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is unhealthy, and i would encourage you not to do it!.

however!.!.!. if you are going to, make sure you do it as healthily as possible!. if you want to lose weight, focus on eating high-protein, low-fat, lower-carb meals!. if you want maximum results eat lean meat & vegetables, and try to spread out your food throughout the day!. this will be difficult on 300-400 calories a day, and i don't think you want to go that low because you will send your body into starvation mode!.

you said you want to lose the weight for one weekend, so my recommendation would be to stick to around 1000-1200 calories a day for the first week and a half, and in the last week reduce it more, i'll explain why in a bit!. also, make sure you take a daily multivitamin with breakfast, and ensure you're getting enough calcium via a calcium supplement! a fish oil supplement is always good for you too!.

you want to have enough of a calorie intake so that your body doesn't go into starvation mode!. if your body does that, you're screwed, and you're NOT going to lose weight, other than perhaps some muscle!. your body tries to preserve fat stores at all costs in starvation mode!. by eating 1000-1200 calories a day, spread throughout 3 meals, consisting of mostly protein and good carbs, you're giving your body enough energy that it will be willing to give up some of its fat stores!. by eating protein, you're ensuring that you maintain muscle as much as possible, as well as making sure that you have energy to do stuff throughout the day, as protein breaks down slowly and releases energy for 4-6 hours on a consistent basis!.

if you want to lose weight as quickly as possible, i'd suggest developing an intense weight lifting routine (no, you're not going to get bulky, muscle building is done by testosterone and females have about 10 times less than males, so even if you work out a lot you're not going to become BIG unless you take steroids)!. weight lifting helps spare muscle, is a form of high intensity interval training (which speeds your metabolism for the rest of the day, burning more calories all day long), and depletes your body's glycogen stores rapidly!. 30 mins of lifting and 30 mins of cardio per day will leave you pretty damn tired, and will burn a lot of fat because you will have used your glycogen reserves on lifting weights, as well as boosting your metabolism for the rest of the day!.

now, in the week or so before you go to the hamptons, you can reduce your carbohydrate intake even further to maximize 'weight' loss!. carbohydrates are what helps your body store water, and if you don't eat many carbs your body won't store as much water!. during this time, scale back your exercise too, and for gods sake KEEP DRINKING WATER!!! if you don't drink enough water during this time your body will get dehydrated, and that's not good for you at all!. losing 'water weight' will make you seem slimmer, which is what you're going for, but this last weight loss will come back when you go back on a healthy diet!. you will look skinnier for the weekend though; this is what many body builders do before contests!. no carbs, just protein!. this is NOT healthy on the long term, i don't care what anyone says, so after the weekend you go and have yourself a healthy meal with some carbs!

so in summary:
- it's not healthy, but!.!.!.
1) 1000-1200 calories / day, carbs & protein w/ a little fat, an hour of intense exercise, 1/2 lifting, 1/2 cardio, LOTS OF WATER
2) a week before the weekend, less carbs, 600-800 calories / day, go less intense on the exercise because your body will not have enough energy to do that every day!. maybe do 45 mins of cardio per day instead of the lifting, and choose a moderate intensity cardio!. keep drinking water! water weight loss will come from the fact that you're eating very few carbs, not from avoiding water! you still need a LOT of water every day, especially before, during, and after exercising!. the more water the better
3) after the weekend, go eat some good food with carbs! go have some whole grain toast with a little natural peanut butter and a glass of milk!.

- don't forget your multivitamin & calcium
- you'll probably get enough omega-3 fatty acids from eating mostly protein (make some of it fish, like salmon or tuna)
- enjoy the weekend!

you probably won't lose 20 lbs this way, i'd say 10 is more realistic!. you will look a lot leaner and a lot more toned though because you're incorporating weight lifting into the routine!.

You do understand that eating that little will throw your body into starvation mode and have the opposite effect, right!? Rather than lose weight, you could potentially GAIN weight!. There's no safe way to do what you're planning to do!. Of course, you know that, so good luck getting any useful tips and hopefully your health doesn't suffer too drastically!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stay away from things like pasta, rice, starchy food, bread, pies pasties as they are high in carbs!.
If I eat pasta or rice each day, I gain weight by the kilo fast!.

I lost a stone of weight in one week by doing this!.
Replace bread with pita bread and make wraps instead!.
Control your portions without starving yourself!. Eat grilled chicken, fish or lean meat like kangaroo!. Make it taste better by adding seasoning, salt (whatever)!. Fresh vegies or salad with a nice dressing so it's not boring!.
Walk 1 hour per day, do half aerobics using handweights for toning!.
Be strict on yourself, because sometimes it's just a few biscuits per day that can cause the beginning of weight gain!.
Enjoy what you eat by making it interesting!.

I doubt you'll loose 20 lbs in 2!.5 weeks but I think this will definitely help!. I had a pooch and wanted to get rid of it also!.!.!.quit drinking any drinks that have sugar (tea, soda, etc) and drink only water!. Red Bull can also be drank in moderation as it has B6 and B12 vitamins which give you energy and increase your metabolism!.!.!.a small Red Bull has 110 calories so it isn't too bad!. Next, try to keep your stomach sucked in at all times!.!.!.it works like an oven and burns the fat - also when you move around with your stomach sucked it, it works your muscles!.
