How to make pushups easier???

i am a 2-sport (basketball, volleyball) varsity athlete, and i was given workouts to do for both of them.. and both include a lot of push ups every day. there are manyyy other things on the list that i have no trouble with. but i can never seem to do the alloted number of pushups without stopping. what can i do to make the pushups easier.. exercises or something??

Answers:

Start off with "girl pushups" (on your knees).

Focus really hard on keeping a strong core while you're doing your pushups. Pretend like a string is going through your bellybutton and pulling you up a bit.

Your neck and back should be completely aligned (you should be able to line a broom handle up with your spine).

Do as many reps keeping the proper form as you can (anything where your form is lost is not benefitting you, and could very well cause strain or injury)

Once that gets a little bit easier for you, challenge yourself to keep good form on your toes. I played both of those sports as well for most of my life. Work on your core daily too, and the form for the pushups should stay a little more solid. Good luck during your upcoming seasons, hun!
