Do I have too much body fat?!


Question: Do I have too much body fat!?
I'm 13 years old!. I'm 5'3 and 110 pounds!. I did a body fat calculator and it said I have 32!.65% body fat!.

I eat 2000 to 2500 calories a day!. When I stand up I can't see my toes and my feet are big because my belly is in the way!. Is this bad!? My belly waist is 30 inches!. It used to be 26 inches!. And I tried on some of my clothes yesterday that I haven't worn for a couple of months and there sort of tight on me!. I have chubby thighs, legs, hips and belly!.

32!.65% body fat is most certainly not unheard of but it is particularly high, 33% body fat being considered obese!. However, you used an online body fat calculator, which is definitely not going to be very accurate!. You only weigh 110lb at 5ft3, so you would have to have virtually no muscle mass to have such a high body fat percentage at such a low weight!.!.!.!.!.it just seems unlikely!. You should definitely speak to your doctor about having a professional body fat test done!. A girl your age wants to stay between 17% and 27% body fat to be healthy!.

Also where you measuring your waist, are you measuring right around the belly button or at the smallest part of the waist!. If you are measuring around the belly button then 30 inches is fine, if that is the smallest part of your waist then you may want to reduce that a bit!.

you're not overweight!. thats actully on the low end of a heathy weight on a body mass calculator!. i am 5'3", 119 pounds and i can fit into a size 1!. your body will change alot between now and the next 5 years!. trust me; 5 years ago, in middle school, i weighed the same as i do now and i was wearing about 3 sizes bigger!. the amount of calories you eat should be based on how active you are!. i'll send you the link to a BMI calculator and a calorie consumption calculator!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

A body fat calculator gives an estimate not an exact number of your body fat percentage!. Because you are only 13 I would say don't worry about your weight right now!. You should make healthy choices when eating daily to prevent getting fat and cutting out all fast food and food with high fructose corn syrup is a good way to stay healthy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the only way to get an accurate reading is from an electrode scale or the body caliper at the doctor's office - 32!.65% fat is unheard of, I seriously doubt that is accurate!!! A 30 inch waist is also really large, sounds too large for 110 pounds!. Try to eat healthier and exercise a LOT moreWww@Answer-Health@Com

at your age your body fat % should be half that!. at that height and weight you must have very little muscle mass!. you need to start getting some regular daily exercise in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
