HELP!!!! After losing 120+ lbs will my skin ever go back to normal without surg!
Question:
HELP!!!! After losing 120+ lbs will my skin ever go back to normal without surgery?
I am a 36 year old woman, and about 2 years ago I started dieting and lost between 120 and 130 pounds. Now I have a lot of extra loose skin. I want to know if there is a way to help it without surgery. I fell into the trap of believing that if lost over 120 pounds I could look liki the gilrl in the bikini in the TV and magazine ads. Now I find myself getting sad when Iook in the mirror and wishing I could feel beautiful about myself. My boyfriend tells me on a regular basis that I am and he means it, but I can't seem to see myself thruough his eyes. This has been a battle for me. I would welcome any advice. Thank you very much.

I don't recommend it, but surgery...otherwise....accept it, hun. At 36, those girls in the mags will naturally be sagging some, too.
I don't think your skin can shrink back a lot. It could shrink some, but at your ideal weight, you may always have loose skin in areas. Stay hydrated. That helps anyone at anytime have tighter skin.
I lost 85 pounds, and tanning some and good lotion helps it seem better, although it probably doesn't actually shrink the skin.
Something to consider...When I was 115 pounds I wasn't happy with my body, compared to magazines...Now a lot of weight gain later, I still feel the same...pretty unsatisfied.
Try hard not to compare yourself to those things.
Great job on the weight loss!
